Charleston, WV Police Staffing Study

CPS was retained to conduct a staffing study for the City of Charleston, West Virginia. The full-time population of the city is roughly 50,000 residents. The city serves as the capital of the State of West Virginia. As such, this city of almost 34 square miles adds an additional 150,000 visitors a day for shopping, governmental functions, and tourism.
The Charleston Police Department is currently addressing critical facility needs and CPS is working to examine their department with the goal of completing a staffing study to better assist the department in adequate personnel planning to ensure that the department can provide the services needed by residents and visitors alike.
