Green Bay, WI Department Comparison Analysis

Green Bay is a city located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin, on the shore of Green Bay, at the mouth of the Fox River. The city is the third-most populous in Wisconsin, after Milwaukee and Madison. Green Bay is known for its professional football team, the Green Bay Packers, who have won a record 13 National Football League championships.

CPS was retained by the City of Green Bay and Berners Schober Architects to research and conduct a staffing and department comparison analysis of the Green Bay Police Department. CPS reached out to more than 20 other departments in Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan and Minnesota to create different matrixes to compare personnel and job responsibilities in these departments against the current staffing and resources of the Green Bay Police Department.

The city will use this information to move to the next phase of pre-design services which should include a space needs study and master planning document to plan for current and future spaces. This next phase will look at staffing and facility needs 5, 10 and 20 years into the future.
